So I got in t-r-o-u-b-l-e today…

Spread the love

Today I went to see the new Twat-light movie “New Moon”, but a review for the movie this is not.  Why did I say that like Yoda?  Anyway…  so i sat through the movie, it wasn’t horribly painful, I mean I didn’t hate it, personally I think it’s inappropriate subject material for 12 year old girls that are just WAITING for a reason to off themselves over a guy but hey, that’s a totally different blog all together.

So after like 5 hours the move ended and the theater began to clear and we sat in our comforable back row waiting for the croud of weird little emo children to leave.  To my left came these two little girls -and mind you I’m sitting at the end of the row- and after trying to inch in front of me several times she finally says “excuse me” to which I returned with “can you not go around?  There’s a door right behind you and a staircase just to your left, why do you need to push in front of myself and my friends as well as the rest of the row of people?”  And apparently that was ME being rude…

See it drives me up an effing wall that these girls were seeing this movie by themselves in the first place, but it annoyed me even more that their bitch of a mother waited around until I came out of the theater to give me an ettiquite lesson.  Oh yeah, she was outside the theater just waiting for the big tall man that was mean to her spoiled little girl  So she can’t teach her children to use exits properly and I get a talking to on being rude TO CHILDREN.

See her first mistake was the approach.  She assaults my group of friends telling them how rude they were for telling her daughter to go around, so I stepped up and said “No, it was me.  And she should have gone around.”  But no, she’s white trash.  She let her daughter go to see a mature movie ALONE.  And honestly I would have told her the same thing if she tried to push in front of me.  See I went through this whole doormat phase for the first 27 years of my life, and when I hit 28 I kinda said ya know, eff it.  Eff it all.  Why should I sit by and let someone I don’t even know be rude to me?  I lived my whole life not standing up for myself, letting people walk all over me, etc etc but I’ll be DAMNED if I’m going to let a child and her whore of a mother do it to me now.

So was it wrong?  Was I not picking my battles properly?  Who cares, it felt good.  I mean obviously the mother wasn’t responsible enough to teach her daughter no, if there’s an open staircase right next to you, you don’t push in front of 8 people to get to a different one.   I mean there was a door RIGHT behind her!  Really, if you don’t feel like attending to your child don’t get pissed off because someone else does.  Teach your own damn kids or someone else will!

  1. I would have just gone hard in on the mother and made her feel like shite. No child should ever treat an adult with disrespect and then run and get someone older to disrespect the same person when told the proper thing to do.
People with children these days are hardly what you’d call parents anymore because they don’t parent or guide. Had I done something like that 15 years ago when my folks were still around, my folks would have marched me right back in to apologise. And I would have received a good grounding for being rude and lazy.
Good on you for standing your ground 🙂

  2. Thanks a bunch 🙂 I really wanted to lay into her, like really really lay into her about letting her kid watch a movie like that alone and question her parenting skills but alas, I was with my boyfriend and his two mature, responsible friends so I was trying to be good.
